On 6 March 2026, Sinotruk held a commendation meeting for International Women's Day under the theme "Striving for a New Journey, Women Making New Contributions." Company leaders presented certificates and medals to outstanding female employees, and award recipients from Jinan Truck Manufacturing, Jinan Parts Company and the Automotive Research Institute spoke at the event.

Read the list of divisions again: truck manufacturing, parts, automotive research. Not administration. These are women being recognised for work on the production and engineering side of a heavy truck business.
Nigeria's logistics sector has a shortage of skilled diesel technicians, auto electricians and hydraulics specialists. It is one of the real constraints on fleet uptime in this country — more binding, on most days, than the availability of trucks. That shortage does not get easier to solve while a large share of the available workforce is treated as an unusual sight on a workshop floor.
The commercial version of the argument
We are a truck company, so here is the commercial case rather than the sentimental one. Every hour a truck spends parked traces back to whether a trained person was available to diagnose and fix it. Anything that widens the pool of trained people shortens that wait. Anything that narrows it lengthens the wait and costs operators money.
Our workshops are diagnostics-led, which means they run on people who can read the data and know what it implies — a skill that takes years to build and no relationship whatsoever to who is holding the scanner.
